Welcome to the “Authorize” clipping service, a precursor to an upcoming authorization-themed conference. This service is provided by volunteer authorization nerds who want more people to know about all the cool stuff that’s going on in the authorization world! Here’s all the news you need to know.
Conferences
We’re well into identity conference season, and you can’t be in two places at once. So if you’re going to Identiverse next week, how is it possible to absorb its oodles of simultaneous tracks, days, conference rooms, and conversations?
We can’t think of any way either, unless you apply AI to summarize everything (which we hear the Identiverse folks are doing!). But if you start your week at the AuthZ Subscriber + AuthZEN WG Happy Hour next Monday evening, May 27, at BrewDog (3767 Las Vegas Blvd S), you can hang with some fellow authorization cool cats and collect a lot of tips and tricks before things really get rolling.
And don’t forget about these two recommendations for Identiverse session goodness from two of our community members: Atul Tulshibagwale and David Brossard.
EIC in Berlin the following week (June 4-7) is also chock-full of authorization content, including a couple of panels and deep dives. And if anything it’s even more parallelized and fast-paced. 15-minute talks?? 20-minute panels??
Announcements
Topaz, backed by Aserto, has reached version 0.32! Lots of CLI updates so you can get your hands directly on the functionality, and you can now manage multiple active configurations.
Red Hat has put its new Connectivity Link solution into developer preview! We’ve written before about the Kuadrant open-source project on which this is based. Connectivity Link is a “central data plane” that brings together functionality such as API protection, authentication, and authorization, tailored for modern containerized environments.
